Please use this form to nominate an individual or collective for the following:

Creator Awards (8 Awards, $2,500 per award):  The Creator Awards recognize living artists or artistic collectives working in any artistic discipline and at any career level.  A minimum of eight awards will be given each year to recognize artistic excellence and/or innovation that contributes to artistic growth in the city, progress the artform and expresses the cultural vitality and diversity of Hamilton's art scene.

If you are submitting more than one nomination, you must submit a complete nomination package for each nominee.

Lifetime Achievement Award (1 Award, $2,500):  

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes living artists and arts community leaders who have contributed substantially to the artistic vitality of the city over the course of a career, and have inspired others through their leadership, creativity and artistic excellence. These individuals’ experience and impact may be local, national or international in scope.  If you are nominating more than one individual, you must submit a complete nomination package for each nominee.

Please use this form to nominate an individual for the following:

Arts Champion Award (up to 4 awards, non-monetary award)

The Arts Champion Awards recognizes living individuals who are outstanding supporters of the arts in Hamilton as volunteers, advocates, or board members.

This is a non-monetary award and recipients will be given a special gift of recognition. This award is open to adults and youth over 14 years old.


If you are submitting more than one nomination, you must submit a complete nomination package for each nominee.

By making a submission, the Artist acknowledges that they, having carefully examined the Call for Artists document, including all Appendices and any clarifications or revisions posted on the project website, understand and agree to the requirements and processes as outlined.


The City of Hamilton is seeking Artists and Artist-Led Teams to submit proposals for a permanent Public Art work(s) to be sited in Century Street Parkette at the Corner of Wentworth and Wilson Streets.


Artists will be selected by a citizen Jury through a two-stage process involving a concept and design proposal, followed by public consultation on selected Artists detailed proposals.

Award: $120,000

Short-listed Artists completing a Stage 2 submission will receive a $1200 honorarium.


Submission Deadline:  Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM (Hamilton time)
